DANCERS, this is your chance to practice performing to a live drum solo with a percussionist who has played for numerous dancers. Adam will talk about the “recipe” for a drum solo and what to listen for, all the while demonstrating what he means by playing for YOU. Each dancer will have equal time to practice soloing with Mr. Riviere.
DRUMMERS, learn to play what dancers are expecting from you in a classic drum solo. Learn the common rhythms associated with drum solos and how to play riffs that will work for both you and the dancer so you will both look and sound great on stage.
